OXYGEN TO THE SKIN
Oxygen is the vital element of energy which each cell in our body needs to live and to develop. In general, we inhale about 26,000 litres of oxygen in a day on average. Among all, 7% of oxygen consumption passes through the skin, 4% for the epidermis and 3% for the derma. The skin is also an organ which breathes itself.
However, certain factors linked to other life conditions which decrease the % of cutaneous oxygen intake. These include internal factors like aging and genetic inheritance and external factors like pollution and tobacco and so, a loss of oxygen can leave your skin lifeless and dull.
